What You Need to Know: An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Group Financial Controller to join a well-established group in Co.
Roscommon. In this key position, you will lead the finance function across multiple entities in Ireland and the UK and play a hands-on role in shaping robust financial controls, accurate reporting, and continuous process improvements.
Reporting to the CFO, you will oversee the financial accounting and control operations of the group.
Leading a team of four, you will drive monthly management reporting, ensure compliance with statutory and audit requirements, and support finance transformation through ERP implementation.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: Oversee preparation and delivery of timely and accurate monthly management accounts and group reporting.
Maintain strong internal controls in line with accounting standards and regulations.
Manage the end-to-end external audit process.
Ensure statutory financial reporting and compliance across group entities.
Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow reporting processes.
Mentor and develop a team of finance professionals.
Contribute to the implementation of a new ERP system, focusing on financial controls.
Identify and drive improvements across financial and reporting processes.
What Are We Looking For?: Fully qualified accountant (ACA, CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
Strong background in financial accounting, reporting, and control for multiple entities.
Experience in practice and industry is ideal.
Accounting FRS102 and IFRS.
Experience managing external audits and statutory reporting.
Excellent technical accounting knowledge.
Familiarity with ERP systems and enhancing finance processes (desirable).
A detail-oriented, structured, and methodical approach.
Proven leadership and team management skills.
