Temporary Legal Assistant (3-4 months, START ASAP)
This temporary role provides administrative and document support to a team of legal professionals in a global law firm environment.
The position involves preparing legal documents, coordinating workflow, and supporting fee earners with a wide range of administrative tasks to ensure smooth daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
Manage incoming calls, take messages, and handle general communication
Prepare, format, and edit legal documents, correspondence, and presentations
Maintain organised electronic and physical filing systems
Assist with diary management, scheduling meetings, and coordinating logistics
Support time entry processes and update internal records as required
Arrange travel and process expense claims
Coordinate with internal support teams for printing, scanning, document production, couriers, and office services
Conduct basic research and assist with data entry
Provide occasional support to reception (e.g., greeting clients, answering calls)
Ensure clear handover notes and maintain consistent service in the event of team absences
Carry out any additional administrative duties necessary to support the legal team
Skills & Experience
Prior experience in a legal support or administrative role (law firm experience advantageous)
Strong proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Excellent organisation, communication, and multitasking skills
High attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Fast, accurate typing and strong document formatting skills
Team-focused, adaptable, and able to learn new systems quickly
