Key Responsibilities:
8. Lead and oversee high-quality, person–centred care for all residents
9. Proven ability to manage and support the Director of Nursing (DON) and Assistant Directors of Nursing (ADONs)
10. Provide strong clinical leadership, including medication management and best practice guidance
11. Manage, support, and develop staff, ensuring training and professional growth
12. Maintain regulatory compliance and implement policies in line with HIQA and legislation
13. Manage risks, incidents, and complaints to safeguard residents and staff
14. Oversee day-to-day operations, including administration, maintenance, and health & safety
15. Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, staff, and external stakeholders
16. Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
17. Strong multitasking and prioritisation skills in a fast-paced care environment
18. Demonstrate strong drive and initiative, proactively ensuring safe, high-quality, person-centred care
Requirements:
19. Significant nursing management experience (minimum 3 years) in a residential or older person care setting
20. Relevant post-registration qualification (Level 8/9 by 2028)
21. Experience in managing deputies, with deputies holding at least 3 years' experience in older person care
22. Proven ability to deliver high-quality, person-centred care and maintain regulatory compliance (HIQA)
23. Strong understanding of governance, deputation, and resident's rights under current regulations
