Key Responsibilities:
Requirements Gathering & Analysis
Engage with process engineers, operators, maintenance teams, and automation engineers to understand existing workflows.
Capture detailed
User Requirements Specifications (URS)
for Robotic and Cobotic automation of fab tools and processes.
Translate business needs into functional and non-functional requirements.
Process & Workflow Analysis
Map current manual workflows, identify pain points, and propose automation opportunities.
Support feasibility analysis for Robotic and Cobotic integration into fab equipment and handling systems.
Documentation & Communication
Produce clear, structured documentation including:
User Requirement Specifications (URS)
Business Process Models
Use Cases & User Stories
Functional Requirements Documents (FRD)
Act as the central point of contact for requirement traceability from concept to deployment.
Stakeholder Management
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, quality, IT, EHS, suppliers).
Facilitate workshops, requirement reviews, and sign-off sessions.
Support Project Execution
Partner with project managers and system integrators to ensure requirements are met.
Contribute to test planning, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and validation protocols.
Ensure compliance with fab standards, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Key Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related discipline.
Advanced degree or certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA, Lean Six Sigma) is a plus.
Experience:
5+ years' experience as a Business Analyst in a high-tech or manufacturing environment.
Prior exposure to
semiconductor fabs
,
automation/robotics
, or
Cobotic systems
strongly preferred.
Experience writing
URS and functional specifications
for automation or manufacturing projects.
Familiarity with tool automation, MES systems, and integration with fab IT systems desirable.
Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to map complex workflows.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) to interact across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Proficiency with requirements management and modeling tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Visio, BPMN).
Knowledge of regulatory, EHS, and safety considerations for automation in cleanroom fabs.
