Responsibilities
Plan, design, deliver, and evaluate comprehensive resuscitation training programmes across the hospital.
Ensure all resuscitation training equipment is properly maintained, serviced, and readily available for use.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current resuscitation guidelines, best practices, and emerging evidence to support professional competence and ongoing development.
Lead and contribute to the development of educational resources, training materials, and teaching aids to enhance learning outcomes.
Provide expert instruction and act as a clinical resource for staff requiring guidance and support in resuscitation and emergency care.
Monitor, evaluate, and review resuscitation procedures, techniques, and equipment to promote continuous quality improvement and optimal patient outcomes.
Participate in audits, training assessments, and quality improvement initiatives related to resuscitation services.
Support the implementation of hospital policies and protocols relating to resuscitation and emergency response.
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to promote excellence in resuscitation practice and patient safety.
Participate as a member of the Cardiac Arrest Team while on duty, providing clinical expertise and support during emergency situations.
Requirements
Hold a minimum of five years' post-registration nursing experience.
Have successfully completed a Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor Course and/or hold current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Provider certification.
Possess at least three years' experience in an acute clinical setting, such as a Coronary Care Unit (CCU), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Emergency Department (A&E), or a similar high-acuity environment.
Demonstrate strong information technology (IT) skills, including proficiency in the use of relevant clinical and administrative systems.
Exhibit excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
