Location Our Global Payroll Operations Manager will be an integral part of our Finance team in EMEA. This role is based remotely in the UK, Ireland, Spain, Sweden or Estonia.
The Opportunity We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global Payroll Operations Manager to join our finance team.
Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end global payroll operations, oversee workstreams & schedule to ensure the timely preparation of payroll information across more than 15 countries.
Prepare and analyze payroll forecasting and reporting for financial reporting and ad‑hoc requests, ensuring accuracy and proper presentation.
Balance & reconcile payroll data to the financial general ledger.
Track & report on bonus & severance accruals.
Procure new vendors and manage existing relationships for payroll systems, establishing SLAs & KPIs to ensure service delivery and drive efficiency.
Lead tax compliance, including filing quarterly and annual payroll tax reports, filing amended reports and complying with business registrations.
Manage employee experience related to ESOP program and exercise process, supporting the implementation of new equity management tools when needed.
Provide a world‑class service model for employees.
Lead special projects related to payroll operations & compliance.
Lead enrollment projects to pension and insurance for employees.
Serve as point of contact for contractor costs, invoices and Q&A.
Drive payroll innovation and ongoing process improvements.
Qualifications
7+ years of experience specific to payroll with global payroll exposure.
Knowledge or experience with US, EMEA, and other international payroll processes (preferred).
Experience with HRIS systems and advanced spreadsheet skills.
Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment and prioritize tasks with urgency.
Comfort with ambiguity and ability to use sound judgment to resolve complex issues.
Understanding of interdependencies with cross‑functional stakeholders (equity, tax, accounting, FP&A, legal, compensation, benefits).
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field (required). Master’s degree in business administration (advantage).
