Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Specialist
We are seeking an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Specialist to join our Renewable Energy Business Unit. This permanent role will be based in Newbridge and will report to the Planning Programme Manager.
The EIA Specialist will lead the delivery of Environmental Impact Assessment Reports and Appropriate Assessment for various BnM Renewable Energy infrastructure projects.
* Lead the EIA process, including delivery of Environmental Impact Assessment Reports and Appropriate Assessments for proposed developments;
* Provide environmental expertise to inform planning and business unit strategies, ensuring compliance with planning and environmental issues;
* Stay up-to-date on changes in planning and environmental legislation, policy decisions, and development plans to maximize outcomes for the company;
* Contribute to company submissions as required;
* Assist with stakeholder management, communication, and consultation with local communities and stakeholders;
* Prepare specifications for third-party services and assist procurement teams;
* E nsure works comply with BnM's Health & Safety and Environmental policies and relevant EU and national policies;
* Participate in performance management to deliver personal and team objectives;
Requirements:
* Hons degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or equivalent; postgraduate qualification desirable but not essential;
* Minimum 5 years' experience leading EIAR and AA/NIS preparation for large-scale projects, reporting into a Planning Programme Manager;
* Expertise in EIA process, Irish planning policy, and legislation is essential;
* Experience in Renewables, ecology, noise, air quality, or SID projects is desirable;
* Technical lead experience in related disciplines is desirable;
