Who We Are
St John’s Hospital, Limerick is a Section 38, Voluntary Hospital founded in 1780 by the Little Company of Mary Sisters. St John’s Hospital is a Model 2S, acute general hospital funded by the HSE and a member of HSE-Midwest. It is a longstanding teaching hospital for medical, nursing and allied healthcare professional staff and is an academic partner of the University of Limerick. The hospital provides a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services, including general medicine, general surgery.

Candidates must be registered/eligible to be registered as a specialist in the Specialist Division of the Register of Medical Practitioners maintained by the Medical Council in Ireland in the speciality of General Internal Medicine.
