About the Team:The Global Privacy & Regulatory Affairs legal team manages and oversees privacy and regulatory matters and initiatives pertaining to TikTok's global operations.
The team works cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders around the world.

Responsibilities:
- Managing regulatory inquiries, investigations and enforcement actions related to privacy, data protection, and related topics in the US and globally.
- Handling all phases of a regulatory matter, including fact gathering and development, document review, witness preparation, preparing narrative responses, and engaging with regulators.
- Proactively developing strategies to address regulatory risk and strengthen the company's regulatory position, including working with cross-functional stakeholders to come up with effective, creative solutions.
- Working collaboratively with litigation, public policy, communications, and other teams on data privacy issues and initiatives.
- Advising on incident response notifications.
Minimum Qualifications: - US, EU, or UK qualified lawyer in good standing in their jurisdiction
- 5+ years of regulatory experience
- Significant in-house or law firm experience advising on privacy, data protection or other government investigations and regulatory matters
- Experience engaging with regulators and data protection authorities
- Ability to quickly learn, adapt, and work collaboratively
- Strong communication skills a must Preferred Qualifications: - Strong working knowledge of global privacy, data security and other related laws
- Experience advising technology or social/entertainment platforms - Understanding of innovative technology and the technology product development process
