Due to strategic growth Appian AssetManagement (AAM) have retained Elevate Partners on an exclusive basis to hirean ambitious Risk and Compliance Officer. The rolewill report directly to the Head of Compliance (PCF 15 ) and the successfulcandidate will be a key part of the Risk and Compliance function in ensuringall its duties and responsibilities are carried out to a high standard.
Roleresponsibilities and duties will include but not limited to:To provide support to the Head of Compliance andthe Risk Manager with the completion of the annual program of activities forboth the Compliance and Risk functions.Deliver the day to day AML monitoring programCompletion of the Compliance and Risk MonitoringProgramsSecretary and administrator to the Risk andCompliance CommitteeSupport the Head of Compliance with regards toData Protection ActivitiesHorizon Scanning: Support the Head of Compliancewith regards to identification of new regulation / legislation. Management ofthe Register of Regulatory Obligations (RORO), and co -ordinate the annualreview of the RORO within the business units.Maintenance of the AAM Policy Register.Co -ordinate the annual policy review within functionsInvolvement in key firm projects and representthe Risk and Compliance function on project workstreams where required.
RequirementsMinimum 2 – 5 years' experience in a similar rolewithin Financial Services A background in Asset / Wealth Managementproducts and regulation preferredQFA or ACOI or equivalent qualification held orin the progress of achievingExcellent communication skills and experiencedeveloping strong internal and external relationshipsAbility to think independently and work on theirown initiative A willingness to embrace challenge and workwithin an evolving / changing environment Task oriented and organised to manage a number ofcompeting priorities simultaneously
