We have a great opportunity for a dedicated Fire Engineer to join our Building & Real Estate Division and represent SOCOTEC proudly.
We're looking for a proactive, flexible, and reliable Fire Engineer with experience in a similar role and a recognised fire safety engineering qualification.
You will work on various projects both independently and as part of a team, so efficiency and teamwork are essential.
The responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Developing design and construction fire safety strategies Preparing fire safety assessments for external walls Conducting technical analyses such as CFD modelling and structural fire engineering Carrying out site visits as required Providing fire safety advice Writing fee proposal letters Liaising regularly with clients To succeed, you should demonstrate:
A bachelor's or master's degree in engineering (mechanical, structural, civil, or similar) Recognition by a professional body A proven background in fire safety and understanding of fire-engineered solutions At least two years' experience in fire safety engineering A positive attitude and excellent communication skills About Fire Engineering Our Fire Engineering team offers a flexible, innovative, and technically capable approach.
We deliver cost-effective solutions for a range of fire safety issues, both on-site and in the office, nationally and internationally.
We address emerging risks and design solutions to mitigate them.
Alongside Fire Engineering, our Building & Real Estate division provides Health & Safety Consultancy, Structural Engineering, and Building Control services.
