Job Summary: We have an open position for an Accounts Assistant in our Dublin office.
Reporting into the Vice President, you will be working in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Job Duties: Accurate booking of client accounts into the AW reinsurance system
Arranging claim and broker payments requests
Updating cash books, reconciliation and allocation of cash received/ paid
Monitoring of reinsurance premium receivable and following up with the broker on overdue items
Running of monthly and quarterly reinsurance reports
Producing monthly and quarterly production reports for Underwriting
Ensuring compliance with established internal controls and procedures
Performance of additional ad-hoc/ analytical duties as and when required
Liaising with various groups both within and outside of the organization, including Underwriting, Brokers, internal and external audit
Disaster recovery and testing of reinsurance system upgrades
Qualifications
Job Requirements: Initiative-taking and able to work efficiently with minimal supervision
Maintain a prominent level of professionalism, integrity and trust
Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and changing priorities
Strong diligence, excellent analytical and effective communication skills
Good collaborator with flexibility to adapt and grow as responsibilities increase
Computer literate particularly in Excel
Role would suit graduate, a person with some insurance/ reinsurance experience and/or someone working towards a professional accounting qualification for example ACCA - not a requirement to be considered for the position
