Quantity Surveyor Position
Our company is currently seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the financial and contractual aspects of construction projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget constraints.
Key Responsibilities:
* Liaise with customers and project managers to negotiate budgets and costs
* Manage commercial relationships with consultants and subcontractors
* Measure, price, and agree on variations to project scope
* Attend pre-contract meetings and ensure timely completion of agreed actions
* Compile and issue invitations to tender, analyse quotations, and make recommendations for order placement
* Assess subcontractor payment entitlement and process payments
* Reconcile cost and value to date/forecast and inform management of project performance
Requirements:
We are looking for a candidate with a Degree in Quantity Surveying/Construction Management and at least 5 years of experience in the field. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and great communication skills are also essential.
