We are currently seeking a CapEx Control Leadto join our client's team at a leading FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) site based in Waterford. This is a 12-month contract position, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to a high-performing capital project function. The successful candidate will lead and oversee financial governance, planning, and control of capital and operational expenditure across a large project portfolio. This role acts as the strategic partner, ensuring robust project controls, compliance, and value realisation across a cross-functional team of 20-25 members. THE ROLE: * Monitor and report on CapEx & OpEx project performance, including budget tracking, variance analysis, and forecasting. * Set up all necessary Master data, WBS, DCF forms * Prepare capitalisation forms, ensure PIP project approvals and capitalisation * Impairment / Write off regular reviews * Yearly assets count verification + Regular asset tags for new assets * Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for the Finance Director and senior stakeholders, highlighting risks, opportunities, projects status and asset management. * Prepare an estimate of capex budget spend on monthly basis based on the information from the relevant stakeholders * Data maintenance and reporting of Capex budget (maintaining data necessary for uploading to management reporting systems) REQUIREMENTS: * 5+ years experience plus a Degree and/or internally recognised accounting or professional finance designation. * Experience in CapEx management * Strong technical knowledge, financial accounting & compliance, Business acumen Please call Mike Morrissey today for further information on or email: CareerWise Recruitment (In Search of Excellence) Established in 1999, CareerWise Recruitment specialises in recruitment of management and technical professionals for the life sciences, ICT, engineering, food and agri sectors.
