Senior Azure DevOps Engineer (Permanent)I am engaging experienced Senior Azure DevOps Engineers for a permanent position with my Dublin-based client. This role presents an opportunity to contribute to complex cloud infrastructure, automation, and platform engineering initiatives within a fast-paced, enterprise-grade environment.Location:Dublin (hybrid model with weekly on-site presence)Key ResponsibilitiesArchitect, develop, and support robust CI/CD pipelines leveraging Azure DevOps servicesProvision, manage, and optimize Microsoft Azure infrastructure and platform servicesImplement automated infrastructure provisioning and application deployment using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologiesDesign and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks for production workloadsPartner with software engineering teams to enhance deployment reliability, scalability, and release velocityEnforce security best practices, governance controls, and compliance requirements across all environmentsDiagnose, troubleshoot, and remediate complex platform, infrastructure, and deployment issuesProvide technical leadership, mentoring, and knowledge transfer to junior engineersEssential RequirementsMinimum of 5 years' hands-on experience designing and operating solutions on the Microsoft Azure platformAdvanced expertise in Azure DevOps services, including Pipelines, Repos, Artifacts, and BoardsStrong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templatesPractical experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)Proven experience working with JIRA for work item tracking and delivery managementStrong scripting and automation capabilities using PowerShell, Python, and/or BashIn-depth understanding of CI/CD concepts, pipeline design patterns, and DevOps best practicesSolid experience with Git-based version control systems and branching strategiesStrong knowledge of Azure networking, identity, security, and governance frameworksExcellent analytical, troubleshooting, and stakeholder communication skillsDesirable SkillsMicrosoft Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator, DevOps Engineer Expert, Solutions Architect)Experience implementing observability solutions using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Grafana, and PrometheusFamiliarity with configuration management and automation tools such as Ansible, Chef, or PuppetExperience working within Agile and Scrum delivery frameworksExposure to multi-cloud or hybrid cloud architecturesWorking knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards including ISO 27001 and GDPRMust Have:Stamp 4, EU or Irish Passport.
