The Role
We are searching for an experienced Senior Finance Manager to join the team. Reporting to the CFO, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to play a key role in leading the Finance function during a period of rapid expansion.
This role will take ownership of:
(i) monthly group reporting and management accounts
(ii) budgeting and rolling forecasting
(iii) Irish tax compliance and coordination (CT, VAT, PAYE/PRSI, R&D Tax Credit), (iv) grants and funding supports
(v) board reporting- turning financials into clear insights.
The role will work closely with the Funding, Risk and Operations teams to ensure that financial and operational excellence prevails across all aspects of the business.
The position is based at the company's head office in Belfield Office Park, Clonskeagh, Dublin with 4 days (Mon to Thu) in the office and Friday remote.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the finance reporting activity including timely preparation of monthly Group Management Accounts
* Drive the preparation of budgets and monthly/quarterly reforecasts in conjunction with CFO
* In conjunction with the CFO, work on new debt and equity funding opportunities
* Oversee the accounts payable function
* Mentor and coach team members
* Manage our engagement with external tax advisors and oversee the preparation of all group tax returns
* Management of group payroll to include liaising with external payroll provider, pension administrator, set up of new employees, issuing contracts, managing Bike2Work scheme, manage employee expenses
* Lead and prepare grant applications where applicable (e.g. R&D Tax Credits)
* Manage yearly statutory audit process to include proofing and finalisation of statutory and abridged accounts
* Preparation of Group level MI and KPIs for use at Board and assistance in preparation of Board packs
* Ad-hoc projects as required
Essential Skills and Experience
* Senior finance role holder, with a minimum of 3 years PQE, who can hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment.
* Qualified ACA/ACCA accountant with an audit background, likely to have started your career in one of the larger practices
* Experience of accounts preparation, report writing, SMEs, statutory tax returns and company secretarial returns
* Experience in budgeting and forecasting a significant advantage
* Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills
* Ability to work under pressure and multi-task. Must be flexible, prioritise, work to deadlines and ensure queries resolved in a timely manner
* Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication and presentational skills with an ability to handle queries in a professional and timely manner
* Highly numeric with a razor-sharp attention to detail
* Show a high level of commitment and professional work ethic
* Self-motivated and able to use own initiative
* Highly proficient in Microsoft Office. You will be producing Management Packs in Powerpoint, Board Papers in Word and work extensively in Microsoft Excel. Knowledge and high degree of proficiency in Excel will be essential
* Ability to disseminate large volumes of data and succinctly summarise in a clear and concise manner the salient points for Senior Management
* Keen interest in innovation and constantly striving to find new and more efficient ways of doing things. An ability to question and improve processes
