Associate Director/Senior Project Manager
Lead and manage four concurrent projects, including two hyperscale data centres, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets, monitoring progress and implementing adjustments as necessary.
Ensure projects adhere to high standards of quality and safety, addressing any issues that arise promptly and effectively.
Manage and mentor a team of project managers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Provide guidance and support to project managers, ensuring they have the resources and direction needed to succeed.
Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews, encouraging continuous improvement and professional development.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
Communicate project status, risks, and issues to clients and stakeholders, providing clear and timely updates.
Ensure client satisfaction through proactive engagement and effective issue resolution.
Design Coordination
Oversee design coordination activities, ensuring all design elements align with project requirements and client expectations.
Collaborate with design teams and external consultants to resolve design issues and integrate changes seamlessly into the project.
Ensure compliance with all relevant design standards and regulations.
Travel and Logistics
Travel infrequently across Europe to project sites as needed, typically for a few days at a time, to oversee project progress and address critical issues.
Coordinate logistics for project-related travel, ensuring efficient use of time and resources.
Additional Responsibilities
Manage the procurement and delivery of Owner Furnished Contractor Installed (OFCI) equipment, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition.
Contribute to business development efforts by identifying new opportunities and supporting the preparation of proposals and bids.
Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve project delivery processes.
Requirements
Experience
Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, with a focus on data centre projects.
Proven track record of managing complex, large-scale projects and leading project teams.
Skills
Strong understanding of design coordination processes and best practices.
Experience in logistics and OFCI (Owner Furnished Contractor Installed) equipment management is highly desirable.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
Communication
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
Proficiency in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Travel
Willingness to travel infrequently across Europe for project needs, typically for short durations of a few days.
Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture.
Client Focus: Strong commitment to understanding client needs and delivering high-quality solutions that exceed their expectations.
Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of project management methodologies, particularly in the context of data centre projects.
