What You'll Do:
As a Tree Climber at TreeWorks, you’ll be the person others look up to—literally and professionally. You'll scale trees using industry-best rope and harness techniques to perform precision pruning, removals, and health assessments. You'll be a vital part of our mission to protect and enhance the urban and natural forest.
Your Daily Adventure:
* Climb and work in trees using professional rigging and climbing systems
* Trim, prune, and remove trees with technical skill and attention to safety
* Assess tree health and recommend appropriate care actions
* Collaborate with ground crews for efficient workflow and safety
* Maintain climbing gear, saws, and personal protective equipment
* Provide input and communicate clearly with your team and leadership
What You Bring:
* Proven experience as a professional tree climber
* Expertise in rope/harness techniques and safe rigging practices
* Familiarity with tree species, pruning methods, and hazard recognition
* Physical readiness to work at heights and in variable weather
* A safety-first mindset and a passion for nature and arboriculture
* Great communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications:
* Certified Arborist (strongly preferred)
* Valid DOT Medical Card
* OSHA 10 Certification
* Professional references required
