ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
* 2-3 years experience working as a writer within media
* A deep knowledge of how social feeds and algorithms work - knowledge of how various platforms differ from each other
* Demonstrative experience in writing breaking news
* A deep knowledge and passion for covering food, drink and culture news across Dublin and Ireland
* Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop/Canva needed
* SEO experience is essential

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* You'll be responsible for the creation of trending and breaking news stories to be published to the Lovin websites.
* The successful candidate will be able to deliver articles in the Lovin tone of voice, complete articles quickly in breaking news situations, fact check articles, and have good knowledge of media law - this can range from news, culture, entertainment and sport.
* Must have an in-depth knowledge of the latest food, drink and cultural trends in Dublin and beyond.
* Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images and tone), alongside any other duties as required by Senior Management.
* Contribute to the social vision of the Lovin brand across social platforms.
* Contribute daily to brainstorms on trends, video ideas, content strategy and
* more for the Lovin channels.
* Work with the IE sales teams as well as the Content Director to plan and execute a
plan for the creation, promotion and sale of social products throughout the calendar year.
* Propose new ideas and concepts for social media content. Stay up to date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications.
SKILLS
* Familiarity with web publications
* Great written communication skills
* Understanding of digital publishing industry
* Ability to recognize viral content effectively
* Editorial research and fact checking skills
* Media law knowledge
* Ability to work under pressure and to work as a team
* Display a high level of curiosity and willingness to learn
* Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems (e.g. WordPress)
* Ability to meet deadlines
* Must have multiple areas of interest across food, drink, culture and trending stories that relate to Dublin/ireland
* Background in social media analytics a plus, or a social media management/design/ journalism /digital marketing /digital production background
* An ideas person who is able to contribute to brainstorms (both editorial and commercial)
* Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video)
* Can-do attitude with strong attention to detail
* Solutions-oriented and proactive
* Willing to learn on the job and adapt depending on the circumstances
