Commercial Insurance Team Leader

Description:

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Commercial Enterprise team as a Commercial Insurance Team Leader, managing a high-performing team of 4-6 Client Advisors. This role is responsible for overseeing a portfolio generating approximately €20 million in GWP and €4 million in income. It presents an excellent opportunity for someone looking to progress in their career while guiding and mentoring a small, skilled team. The ideal candidate will have a strong client service ethos, leadership experience, and a drive to contribute meaningfully to business success in a collaborative environment.

What You Will Be Rewarded With:

* Base salary €60,000 - €70,000, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Development

* Lead, manage, and inspire a team of 4-6 Client Advisors, promoting collaboration and innovation.
* Coach, mentor, and support team members to help them grow and succeed.
* Promote continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across the team.
* Ensure access to technical and soft skills training as needed.

Operational Excellence

* Allocate team resources to ensure exceptional service delivery for clients and internal stakeholders.
* Oversee team workflows, manage workloads, and monitor task efficiency.
* Regularly review individual and team performance, providing timely and constructive feedback.
* Support the recruitment and onboarding of new team members.
* Lead performance management, including year-end reviews and reward processes.

Client Service & Business Success

* Manage your own portfolio of clients, delivering high-quality service and acting as a role model for the team.
* Resolve complex client queries with strong technical and service capabilities.
* Build strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
* Contribute to team and business planning by achieving set objectives across schemes and commercial ventures.
* Work cross-functionally with other teams to resolve complex matters, manage insurer queries, and streamline account allocations.
* Ensure all team activities adhere to company compliance standards and business-specific procedures.
* Drive accountability through completion of Balanced Scorecards and Development Plans.
* Identify and address knowledge gaps within the team and implement improvement plans as needed.

What You Need to Have:

* Proven ability to lead and motivate high-performing teams.
* Strong client service ethos and flexibility to meet varying client needs.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to manage deadlines and workloads in fast-paced environments.
* Proven relationship-building skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to ensure quality across the team's output.
* Strong understanding of insurance products and technical knowledge.
* Proactive approach to improving team efficiency and client service.

What Makes You Stand Out:

* Minimum of 5 years' experience in the insurance industry.
* Strong people management and coaching experience.
* CIP or ACII qualified (or working towards).
* Proficiency in IT systems and tools, particularly Excel and Word.
