 
        
        Senior Management Accountant
A confidential, well-established organisation within the Irish commercial sector is seeking a Senior Management Accountant to join its finance team. This permanent, full-time position is based in Dublin and offers the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership to deliver accurate financial reporting, strengthen internal controls, and support strategic decision-making. The role is suited to an experienced accounting professional who enjoys ownership, process improvement, and meaningful business partnering.
What You’ll Do
 * Lead the monthly management accounts process, ensuring all journals, accruals, and prepayments are accurately recorded and reported within agreed timelines.
 * Prepare detailed variance analyses and commentary to support senior management in understanding business performance.
 * Oversee general ledger integrity and coordinate month-end and year-end close activities.
 * Produce and maintain management reporting packs, KPIs, and trend analyses across multiple departments or cost centres.
 * Support annual budgeting and quarterly reforecasting, collaborating with department heads to ensure realistic and achievable financial plans.
 * Prepare balance sheet reconciliations with clear supporting documentation and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.
 * Manage cash-flow forecasting, working capital analysis, and treasury reporting as required.
 * Ensure compliance with Irish VAT, payroll taxes, and other statutory obligations.
 * Liaise with external auditors, preparing audit-ready files and responding to audit queries.
 * Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement, automation, and stronger internal controls within the finance function.
 * Support wider business projects, providing financial insight on investment decisions, cost control initiatives, and strategic planning.
What You’ll Bring
 * A recognised professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
 * Minimum 2–4 years’ post-qualification experience in a management accounting or financial reporting role.
 * Strong understanding of Irish accounting standards and month-end disciplines.
 * Proven ability to prepare accurate management accounts and interpret results for non-financial stakeholders.
 * Excellent analytical skills, with strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
 * High proficiency in Excel (including pivot tables, lookups, and data modelling) and confident use of ERP/accounting systems.
 * Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence across departments.
 * Comfortable managing deadlines in a dynamic, evolving business environment.
