Construction Planner Role
Job Overview
The Construction Planner will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects by validating lead times with suppliers and integrating them into the programme.
1. Validate lead times with suppliers and integrate them into the programme.
2. Contribute to value engineering and buildability reviews, ensuring programmes are practical and efficient.
3. Ensure compliance with Irish Building Regulations, planning permissions, and Health & Safety legislation.
Requirements
* Degree or diploma in Construction Management or Engineering.
* Minimum 3–5 years' experience in planning within residential construction.
Essential Skills
* Proven experience as a Construction Planner, preferably within the residential development sector in Ireland.
* Proficiency in Asta Powerproject software.
* Strong technical understanding of the Irish housebuilding process – from greenfield site to handover, including groundworks, utilities, timber frame/traditional build, and fit-out.
* Knowledge of Irish construction regulations, planning requirements, and BCAR (Building Control Amendment Regulations).
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
* Strong reporting and presentation skills.
