Overview
The Health & Safety advisor will lead the implementation of a professional, competent, and knowledge-sharing culture across all your sites, ensuring that best-in-class health, safety, and environment practices are planned, implemented, and shared effectively.
We have 3 vacancies across three sites in the Dublin Leinster region.
Responsibilities
1. Lead by example
2. Provide sound and industry-leading advice to project stakeholders
3. Carry out audits/inspections of Sisk workplaces at a frequency and intrusiveness coached by the BU HSE Manager
4. Attend sites following accidents/incidents and assist with investigations. In the absence of the Project Director or HSE Manager, lead the investigation.
5. Liaise with enforcement authorities if they attend site to investigate following an incident.
6. Assist the HSE Manager in preparing health and safety reports for the BU MD during internal reviews.
7. Alert the HSE Manager if there is a reason to believe there will be a period of inadequate cover for health and safety.
8. In the absence of the HSE Manager, assist tender and prequalification teams where requested, advising on health and safety concerns and providing practical solutions.
9. Attend start-up meetings with your line manager and Sisk site teams; participate in supply chain meetings as requested.
10. Deliver appropriate training.
11. Stay informed of legislative changes and best practices to provide competent health and safety advice to site stakeholders.
12. Be aware of your limitations and ensure advice remains within those boundaries.

Qualifications
- NEBSOH Construction Certificate or equivalent
- NVQ Level 4 / EFQ L3 in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent
- Temporary Works
- Internal Auditor
- Local PD / CDM & PSDP / PSCS training
- Awareness of lifting operations BS 7121/IS361
- Temp Works Awareness, including knowledge of TWC role
- Incident Investigation Training
