We're currently recruiting for an experienced Principal Android Engineer for a 12-month contract with one of our key clients. This role is paying €450 - €500 per day and requires once a week travel to Dublin.
The ideal candidate will bring principal‑level technical authority, owning cross‑team architecture, driving long‑term platform strategy, and shaping Android engineering standards, preferably from a background of highly regulated industries.
Key Requirements:
Own technical direction and architecture across multiple Android teams and platforms
Bring deep expertise across Kotlin, Jetpack Compose and Android SDK
Familiarity with AWS Mobile Services (API Gateway, AppSync, Lambda)
Define strict architectural guardrails ensuring scalable, resilient, secure Android solutions
Drive long‑term platform strategy with hands‑on, deeply technical expertise
Govern APIs, contracts, and shared libraries used across squads
Make confident trade‑off decisions under ambiguity while influencing senior stakeholders
Communicate complex technical choices clearly to technical and non‑technical audiences
Operate autonomously, thinking in systems rather than tasks or sprints
Act as final technical authority in high‑scale or mission‑critical environments
