As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for managing the kitchen at The Straffan Inn Pub. Your role will involve:
* Ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen, maintaining high standards and adhering to strict hygiene protocols.
* Preparing ingredients for service to meet our quality requirements, minimizing wastage wherever possible.
* Delivering exceptional guest experiences by meeting special requests and exceeding expectations.
* Collaborating with the team to continuously improve our menu offerings and culinary practices.
* Cleaning the kitchen area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Preparing, serving, and clearing food dishes to customers, ensuring excellent presentation and quality.
* Storing goods correctly and hygienically in accordance with HACCP specifications.
This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, enabling you to work effectively under pressure and within a close-knit team. You will also be expected to remain inclusive and respectful at all times.
Requirements and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should possess:
* Previous experience in a similar position.
* A genuine passion for food, coupled with a deep interest in culinary arts.
* Friendly and approachable demeanor, with excellent teamwork and communication skills.
* Comprehensive knowledge of HACCP regulations and procedures.
* Exceptional communication and organizational abilities.
* Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
* Flexibility in working hours and willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.
