Here at Berns Brett Ireland (part of the Jensten Group), we are looking to recruit a Trainee Insurance Advisor to join our friendly and client-focused team of 7 people.
Berns Brett Ireland is a commercial Insurance Broker based in Cavan, Ireland. We have over 35 years of insurance experience and provide quality independent advice on all aspects of corporate and personal insurance, risk management, and business continuity.
The main purpose of the Trainee Insurance Advisor role is to service our Commercial policies and provide top-quality client service. While you will have a strong focus on policy renewals, you will also be involved in other servicing tasks and setting up new business.
Key objectives & responsibilities:
* Advising customers on a range of Commercial insurance
* Building long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and insurers
* Developing customer relationships, understanding their insurance needs, and providing a high level of customer service
* Completing policy renewals, making amendments, and answering queries
* Setting up new business
* Processing insurance documents in compliance with local procedures, customer service standards, and external regulations (e.g., Central Bank of Ireland)
About you
You will need customer service skills, the ability to multitask, and good time management skills. Insurance experience is not required as training will be provided, but any experience is a bonus!
Other skills/requirements include:
* Holding a Certificate / Diploma / Degree at third level college
* A desire to work towards CII Qualifications (essential)
* Good understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
* Interest in developing a career within the insurance/broking sector
* Excellent telephone manner and relationship-building skills
* Ability to use initiative and multitask
* Work experience in a professional office environment is advantageous but not essential
