Job Title: Health and Safety Officer - Civil Engineering Contractor
We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Officer to join our team as a permanent member. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of health and safety on our construction sites.
Main Responsibilities:
* Conduct site inductions and toolbox talks to ensure all personnel are aware of potential hazards and risks.
* Oversight and review of site performance across multiple sites to identify areas for improvement.
* Report on safety performance and provide recommendations to management to maintain a safe working environment.
* Assist in the compilation of health and safety documentation, including risk assessments and method statements.
* Promote a culture of health and safety awareness among site staff and subcontractors.
* Maintain accurate inspection records for activities and plant equipment to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
To succeed in this role, you will require relevant qualifications and at least 1+ year of experience in health and safety. A strong understanding of health and safety legislation and industry best practices is essential.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
* Relevant certifications, such as NEBOSH Diploma or IOSH Managing Safely.
* Proven track record of maintaining high levels of health and safety performance.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
