Urban Growth Specialist Role Summary
We seek an accomplished Urban Growth Specialist to spearhead projects relating to neighborhood planning, small businesses, real estate, and workforce development initiatives. The selected candidate will provide technical support; coordinate the development of new planning procedures; prepare comprehensive project analyses; develop and manage data collection tools; oversee consultant contracts including scopes-of-work and budgets.
Key Responsibilities Include:
* Provide technical assistance regarding urban planning and development activities.
* Supervise consultants and track project progress.


Skills & Qualifications:

Economic Development Knowledge:A strong understanding of economic theory coupled with a working knowledge of community/neighborhood groups is essential.

The ideal candidate should have experience managing complex urban renewal programs as well as providing customer service expertise in a public administration setting.
The ability to analyze problems effectively handle multiple tasks at once is critical.
The preferred candidate holds a Bachelor's Degree or higher in a related field (urban studies, economics etc) accompanied by extensive work history emphasizing regional coordination combined with hands on application used throughout multiple component area holdings emphasized
