Responsibilities
* Provision of technical expertise to assist a broad range of clients in managing their relevant regulatory requirements.
* Active involvement in developing new business opportunities and collaborating with other departments within Deloitte.
* Planning and managing projects as required, meeting all deadlines promptly.
* Interpreting and implementing regulations.
* Developing a compliance framework.
* Developing compliance policies and procedures.
* Reviewing client documentation in relation to regulatory requirements.
* Providing monitoring or internal audit services specific to compliance with regulatory requirements.
* On‑call advisory.
* Secondments to client compliance functions.
* Designing and delivering regulatory training tailored to client needs.
About you
The Senior Manager within our regulatory risk team focuses on delivering client engagements, sales and practice development. You will develop high‑performing people and teams, leading and supporting them to make an impact that matters, and setting the direction to deliver exceptional client service.
Qualifications
* Significant experience in compliance or regulatory experience within a Financial Services environment, or in an advisory, law or business consulting capacity.
* Experience with Enterprise Risk and Operational Risk.
* Strong technical knowledge in regulation and Financial Regulator rules and guidance procedures.
* Experience managing a team of compliance specialists.
* A detailed understanding of aspects of current regulation with an ability to develop a speciality in new regulation.
* Ability to identify sales opportunities and progress these in conjunction with other team members.
* Highly motivated, with a proven ability to work on own initiative within a challenging and dynamic work environment.
* Outstanding communication (both spoken and written) and people skills.
* Demonstrated outstanding planning, project management, networking and influencing skills.
* Third level qualification in a related area.
* Professional Diploma in Compliance – Association of Compliance Officers in Ireland (ACOI), or other desirable.
* Strong IT skills (Microsoft applications – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access) desirable.
