Role/Department
An opportunity exists for a Senior Consultant in the Real Estate and Infrastructure (REIF) Team.
This team is renowned as the leading provider of Fund Administration services to the Irish Real Estate market.
Responsibilities
* Develop an understanding of Fund Accounting requirements for Property Funds.
* Collect relevant information to facilitate production of NAVs.
* Issue NAVs accurately and within defined timeframes.
* Liaise with new clients to determine fund structure and level of detail required to support striking of NAV.
* Actively liaise with clients and external auditors, dealing with audit queries.
* E nsure agreed client service levels and regulatory filing deadlines are met.
* Prepare interim and annual financial statements for Property Funds, including consolidated financial statements for complex cross-border structures.
Client Centric
* Communicate effectively with clients, investors, and associated parties on fund activities.
* Understand the purpose and gain critical background knowledge of Funds assigned to the team.
* Stay up-to-date on current activities in the REIF market, as well as industry and regulatory developments.
* Liaise with other internal departments, such as Trustee, Legal, Transfer Agency, and Company Secretarial.
Purchase and Sale of Property Investments
* Understand the structure of property transactions.
* Understand the process and approvals required.
* Coordinate the approval process.
* Collate documentation and maintain records.
Requirements
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Professional accountancy qualification.
* In-depth Functional / Industry Knowledge.
* Technical skills/systems knowledge (e.g. Yardi).
* Detailed knowledge of Irish/UK GAPP and IFRS.
* A working knowledge of the Irish regulatory/tax regime as it relates to Fund Accounting.
* A strong appreciation of accounting principles and standards.
* Knowledge of or willingness to quickly gain knowledge of Property Fund Administration.
* Ability to demonstrate high-touch client service.
* Participation in systems development projects.
* Commitment to producing high-quality work and meeting timeframes.
* Excellent knowledge of Excel.
