Purpose of the Role:
Childhood cancer is a devastating diagnosis for families, requiring complex medical care and emotional support. A Patient Navigator would serve as a dedicated guide, providing support, education, and coordination of services throughout the cancer journey to the families of children, adolescents, and young adults.
In collaboration with the MDT and relevant stakeholders, the post will support the patient journey, enhance clinical outcomes, and optimise healthcare resource utilisation. The post holder will contribute to strategic and operational team decision-making to ensure the consistent delivery and continued development of high-quality, outcome-driven patient care.
Essential Criteria:
* Qualification as a clinical health, or health and social care professional with professional registration as appropriate
* 5 years’ full-time post-qualification experience working in a relevant healthcare setting (acute childhood cancer services)
* Demonstrated experience of working in partnership with clinicians, patients, and caregivers to improve care outcomes
* Demonstrated experience of leadership and innovation for transforming care and service delivery in role
* Knowledge of relevant government policy supporting children and families affected by childhood cancer

Failure to do so will defer your start to the next available date. 2025 start dates include July 14, August 11, September 1, September 15, October 13, November 10, and December 15.
