Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to lead the Procurement function within the Supply Chain team at Helsinn Birex Pharmaceuticals Ltd, based in Dublin 15. In this role, you will be responsible for defining and executing procurement strategies to support business objectives, ensuring cost competitiveness, supply continuity, and compliance within a GMP-regulated environment. The successful candidate will drive supplier performance, lead cross-functional collaboration, and contribute to operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives across the site. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement procurement and category strategies aligned with business and operational goals. Lead and manage supplier relationships, including strategic suppliers, ensuring performance in cost, quality, and delivery. Negotiate and manage long-term agreements and contracts with key suppliers. Identify and mitigate supply risks through proactive planning and supplier diversification. Drive cost optimisation initiatives while ensuring quality and supply continuity. Collaborate closely with Supply Chain, Production, Quality, and Engineering to support business needs and ensure alignment. Oversee supplier performance management, including KPIs, scorecards, and corrective actions. Lead procurement-related continuous improvement and digitalisation initiatives. Provide leadership, guidance, and development to procurement team members. Support production planning through effective material availability and supplier coordination. Ensure procurement activities are compliant with c GMP, company policies, and regulatory requirements. Analyse market trends, pricing, and supplier data to inform strategic decisions. Prepare and present procurement KPIs, reports, and insights to senior management. Support new product introductions and supplier onboarding activities. Contribute to budget planning and cost control initiatives. Participate in audits and ensure procurement inspection readiness. Required Qualifications and Experience Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field. Minimum 710 years experience in procurement or supply chain, within a regulated industry (pharmaceutical preferred). Proven experience in leading procurement strategies and supplier management. Strong experience in contract negotiation and commercial management. Experience working within GMP environments is highly desirable. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and procurement tools. Professional certifications (e.g., CIPS, Lean, Six Sigma) are an advantage. Key Competencies Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
