NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC)is one of the largest healthcare systems in the United Kingdom, employing approximately 40,000 staff across a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health services to a population of over 1.15 million people, and to a wider population of 2.2 million when regional and national services are included.The RoleResponsible for the accurate collection & collation of cancer audit data, liaising with clinical and clerical colleaguesin respect to cancer pathways and providing regular reports on service to support the cancer quality strategy.Option of hybrid working available.Travel between sites will be requiredDuration, Location, and Working Pattern:Location based in Stobhill Hospital but covers all GGC sites.Permanent ContractFull-time position (37 hours per week)Shift pattern for this post are standard office hoursKey ResponsibilitiesTo collect, input and analyse data for the national cancer quality/prospective cancer audit programmes for a number of specific cancer sites, focusing on the quantitative measurements of patient care, and providing data for critical analysis and assessment of defined clinical outcomesTo ensure high quality, comparative data is available to relevant cancer clinicians and managementExtracts demographic and clinical information from electronic information systems such as TRAKCARE.Encourages clinicians to provide accurate and complete data, to maximise the validity and reliability of data collected.To provide feedback to local clinicians and other relevant staff by means of assisting in the collation of an annual report. These reports provide evidence of performance, which is compared against the national standards set by Healthcare Improvement Scotland (HIS) for individual cancers.
