Membership Executive ( Business Development)
Engineers Ireland is the professional body for engineers and engineering in Ireland. With over 25,000 individual members we are one of the country’s largest professional bodies encompassing all disciplines of engineering across industry, the public service, semi‑state bodies and academic/educational institutions.

The Role
The Membership Growth Executive will be engaging with established engineering companies and building new relationships in growth sectors. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator with strong customer service and people skills. They will have the ability to work across business functions and levels in target organisations to grow new membership and advise stakeholders how to best realise the value of their Engineers Ireland membership. This role involves travel in Ireland to client companies and a wide range of presentations to potential members and stakeholders.
Main Duties And Responsibilities
* Build and manage relationships with key member companies, ensuring high levels of engagement and satisfaction, delivering an increase in membership.
* Create and deliver compelling presentations on the benefits of membership to potential members and stakeholders both in person and online, leading to the acquisition of new members.
* Identify and develop new company relationships designed to deliver new members in growth sectors.
* Ensure growth targets are achieved on an ongoing basis, through active and effective pipeline management from lead generation to qualification and sales execution.
* Maintain and expand the database of prospects.
* Manage and run key networking events for stakeholders.
* Represent Engineers Ireland at industry and/or other networking events.
* Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications team to build high impact campaigns to deliver growth in new and emerging sectors.
* Work and collaborate with a diverse group of internal teams to contribute to product and proposition development to meet stakeholder needs and drive sales growth.
Candidate Requirements
* Proven expertise in presentation skills with the ability to confidently discuss and advise on all aspects of Engineers Ireland membership offerings.
* Effective communication, stakeholder management, negotiation skills.
* Proven record of achieving growth targets with highly professional business development and customer service skills in a dynamic environment.
* A natural relationship‑builder who will enjoy connecting with stakeholders at all levels in the engineering profession.
* A digital native, you feel incredibly comfortable working with online systems/tools.
* A self‑starter, independent, initiative‑taking, who thrives in fast‑moving work environments.
* Hold a full clean driving licence.
* A relevant degree is desirable.

Location
