Offer description

We are currently recruiting a Purchasing Supervisor in Cavan. This role will report to the Area Manger. The function of the role is to support the client in all aspects of the stores. The role requires excellent stores knowledge with strong procurement skills.

Full training will be provided for the role with opportunities for progression for the right candidate. This role offers a competitive renumber and benefits package.

Role/Responsibilities

- Complying with Health & Safety

- Liaising with Engineers and other Client staff

- Attend weekly KPI meetings and update client reports as required

- Managing all aspect of running the stores including cycle counting

- Sourcing supplies for our clients and providing quotes

- Acquiring purchase orders from our clients to support the quote

- Creating sales orders

- Matching client purchase orders to sales orders and despatching invoices

- Ordering from our suppliers and providing purchase order numbers

- Monitoring all open orders for clients and following up on items delayed

- Informing our clients of any delays or issues with daily, weekly & monthly reporting

- Adherence to strict deadlines, providing timely, accurate information

- Supporting the stores team when required

- Some Planning Duties

- Other ad hoc duties as required

Candidate Profile

- Previous experience with engineering spare parts preferred

- Strong procurement background with excellent administrative skills

- Previous Pharma & GMP experience an advantage.

- Previous experience using using ERP systems ie SAP, EAM's, Maximo Oracle etc. an advantage

- Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask, work to deadlines and work under pressure.

- Excellent Communication Skills both verbal and written.

- Excellent interpersonal skills and telephone manner with strong presentation skills

- Flexible approach to all areas of the role

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office particularly Excel essential

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Strong problem solving, creative skills, the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyse

- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
