Morgan McKinley is excited to be working with a leading tech company in County Galway that is gearing up for significant growth and expansion in 2026. They are seeking an experienced Financial Controller with a strong background in manufacturing on an initial 6-month contract to support a critical transitional phase.This role is ideal for a hands-on finance professional who can lead financial operations, drive system implementations, and provide strategic insight to support the company's growth phase.Please note this is a fast-moving process, with interviews scheduled before Christmas and a planned start in January.Responsibilities include:Establishing and maintaining financial policies, controls and accounting proceduresImplementing systems to track and value inventory, manage bills of materials (BOMs), and monitor direct labour costs accuratelyOverseeing day-to-day accounting, reporting, budgeting and forecastingManaging month-end and year-end close activities efficientlyAnalysing manufacturing variances and supporting cost-optimisation initiativesDriving process improvements within the finance team to enhance efficiency and reduce manual effortPreparing consolidated financial statements in line with relevant standardsMonitoring cash flow, working capital and treasury operationsAssisting with the selection and implementation of an ERP system integrating finance, supply chain, production, and quality managementCollaborating with IT, operations and manufacturing teams to ensure smooth ERP adoption and data integrityDeveloping reporting dashboards and financial analytics within the ERP environmentEnsuring compliance with all relevant financial, tax, and industry regulationsMaintaining audit readiness and liaising with external auditors, tax advisors and regulatorsDesigning cost accounting and inventory control frameworks suitable for a regulated manufacturing environmentActing as a trusted partner to the leadership team by providing insights to support operational and investment decisionsSupporting pricing, product costing and margin improvement initiativesContributing to business planning, fundraising efforts, and investor reportingBuilding and developing a high-performing finance team
