Our client is seeking a strategic leader to drive technical operations, oversee technology transfer projects, and optimise product processes.

Your objectives:
As the Associate Director, Technical Operations, you will be measured against the following objectives:
1. Lead and execute technology transfer projects for OSD products, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
2. Oversee process development, scale-up, and validation activities to maintain manufacturing excellence.
3. Develop and implement continuous process verification and drive technological advancements.
What you will do:
As the Associate Director, Technical Operations, your duties and responsibilities will include:
· Lead technical fluency across all OSD processes, including dry powder blends, encapsulation, wet granulation, hot melt extrusion, compression, and coating.
· Manage and develop a diverse technical team, fostering collaboration and innovation.
· Deliver successful process development, scale-up, and validation activities.
· Drive new technology assessment and implementation.
· Ensure supply robustness for product transfers and launches.
· Oversee small-scale manufacturing areas and promote their capabilities.
· Develop and drive the continuous process verification (CPV) program.
· Interface with regulatory agencies as required.
· Lead departmental initiatives and contribute to strategic site objectives.
What you will bring:
These are the skills and experience you will need to succeed as the Associate Director, Technical Operations:
· BS/MS/PhD in pharmacy, chemical engineering, or a related science field.
· Proven experience leading technical services teams in the pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical industry.
· Strong understanding of pharmaceutical development, tech transfer, and regulatory considerations.
· Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills in a collaborative environment.
· Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
· Experience in leveraging external partners, including vendors and academia.
· Strategic thinking ability with a focus on long-term process optimisation.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
· Technical expertise in pharmaceutical technology and automated control systems.
· Knowledge of statistical methodologies, including Minitab.
