East Coast Credit Union Limited, Bray & Wicklow is inviting applications for the position of Credit Control Officer.

The successful candidate will report into the Chief Financial Officer(CFO) and will be responsible for liaising with members to minimise their loan arrears. Key Responsibilities: the following list is not exhaustive and may be subject to change in line with the needs of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain and develop effective communications with members to mitigate escalation of arrears.
• Negotiating repayment plans for members that are experiencing difficulties in making repayments
• Accurately records information and outcomes on our systems and trackers in a timely manner.
• Ongoing review of arrears and deciding on the most appropriate course of action in conjunction with CFO
• Consistently demonstrate that “the member” is at the heart of everything we do” by engaging with members and resolving their queries in a timely, effective and clear manner
• Treat all members fairly and consistently throughout, including rescheduling proposals and resolutions.
• Liaising with solicitors • Attendance in court when required
• Actively participates in and contributes to weekly/monthly meetings
• Ad-hoc exercises, not necessarily concerning your department, in collaboration with the CFO/CEO
Qualifications and Skills Required:
• 3 years’ experience in a similar role within the Financial Services sector desirable
• A relevant qualification (QFA, APA) and/or willingness to study for the same
• Knowledge of MARP desirable
• Demonstrable experience of Personal Insolvency legislation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• A collaborative team player with a proactive, "can-do" attitude.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
