About Us

We are a leading provider of quantity surveying services, assisting our clients in the smooth operation of their projects.

Job Description:

* We require a Quantity Surveyor to play a crucial role in our team, working closely with our Managing QS and Contracts Manager to ensure the overall running of the contract is seamless.
* The successful candidate will be responsible for reporting on the overall performance of the project, including monthly CVR and Accrual reporting.
* They will also conduct specific analysis on the preliminary's performance on the project, providing detailed insights and recommendations for improvement.
* Analyze outgoing sub-contractor and supplier payment approvals ensuring accuracy and compliance.
* Understand the respective obligations and responsibilities of the parties to the contracts and provide direction to site colleagues as needed.
* Work closely with the Contracts Manager to administer contracts from start-up to final account, ensuring smooth transition and minimal disruption.
* Attend and contribute to site start-up meetings with site management, providing valuable input and expertise.
* Participate in site meetings and sub-contractor meetings as required, maintaining open communication channels.
* Prepare and submit relevant monthly reports in the agreed format and timeframe, keeping stakeholders informed.
* Manage overall costs on the project, including any variations, ensuring accurate financial tracking and control.
* Procure all sub-contract packages, overseeing the entire process from tender to award.
* Oversee the management of sub-contract packages, approving payments and ensuring timely completion.
* Prepare and submit monthly valuations, accurately reflecting project progress and financial status.
* Monitor and manage project accounts, preparing cash flow forecasts to inform decision-making.
* Ensure accurate financial reporting, controlling construction budgets effectively and implementing value engineering proposals when necessary.
* Regularly review subcontractor and supplier performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as required.
* Represent our company to clients, working closely with the design team to deliver exceptional results.

Requirements:

* Proven experience in quantity surveying, preferably in a similar role.
* Degree in quantity surveying or related field.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work under pressure, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
* Familiarity with construction processes and procedures.
