Operative Job Summary
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Operative to join our team based in Naas. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with a dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide on-site support to Mechanical Fitters and Electricians.
* Assist with confined space operations (Top Man role; training provided).
* Support traffic management activities (signing, lighting, guarding; training provided).
* Load and unload vans, lorries, trailers, and containers.
* Prepare and dispatch stock to sites and customers.
* Assist with warehouse duties and stock management.
* Participate in end-of-year stock takes and audit preparations.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation in stores and surrounding areas.
* Operate HIAB truck and forklift (training provided).
* Conduct health and safety checks on plant and machinery.
* Participate in supplier product training and internal development sessions.
* Adhere to company policies and standard operating procedures.
* Carry out other ad-hoc duties as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Experience in the water or construction industry is an advantage.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately.
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Effective time management and organisational skills.
* Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
* Leaving cert or equivalent qualifications.
* Full EU/Irish driving licence.
