Established in 2001, it employs over 900 staff and has invested more than €600m in infrastructure and technology. The site continues to diversify its product portfolio, creating new opportunities.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure safe, compliant, and efficient operation and maintenance of Clean Utility systemsLead the site’s cross-functional sustainability program to meet Sanofi’s Planet Care targets for CO2, Energy, Water, Waste, and BiodiversityImplement process improvements to enhance efficiency, safety, and quality within the clean utility systemsManage budgets related to utilities, conservation projects, and sustainability initiatives, identifying opportunities for cost savings through energy efficiency and water reductionDevelop and lead continuous improvement programs resulting in cost savingsBuild engineering problem-solving capabilities to ensure reliable utilities supply to manufacturingEnsure all activities comply with cGMP and safety standardsMonitor GMP compliance through audits, preventative maintenance, work orders, and document reviewsAs asset owner, deploy Long Term Asset Planning, making decisions on repair, refurbish, or replacement within the site Capex PortfolioManage equipment vendors and maintenance contractors effectivelyDevelop and regularly improve training programsAbout YouTo succeed in this role, you should have:Essential RequirementsHigher level Engineering Degree or equivalentAt least 2 years’ experience as an Engineering Manager or similar management roleMinimum 3 years’ experience managing clean utilities and sustainability in a pharmaceutical environmentTechnical knowledge of relevant clean utilities systems, energy technologies, and site facilitiesDetailed understanding of cGMP, utilities, and energy managementExcellent interpersonal skills and active listeningStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsEffective facilitation skillsAbility to influence site KPIsFull understanding of health, safety, and legal requirementsExperience working in a Clean Utilities and Facilities Management environmentKnowledge of Problem Solving/Continuous Improvement methodologies and Data AnalyticsExperience with Industry 4.0 technologies implementationIt would be advantageous to have:Experience as an Engineering & Maintenance Manager within a pharmaceutical environmentStakeholder relationship management skills across site and global engineering teamsExperience managing clean utilities and other facilities in an integrated facilities management settingVisas for those without the right to work in the UK will be considered on a case-by-case basis based on business needs.Join Sanofi and Pursue Progress.
