Mission
The Project Engineer will be responsible for planning, supervising, and delivering works orders consisting of routine and non-routine maintenance on transportation infrastructure projects throughout the country.
Main Responsibilities
1. Site setting out and supervision of construction activities.
2. Planning and coordination of gangs and subcontractors to ensure efficient project execution.
3. Development and implementation of project proposals for internal and client review, including budgeting and cost management.
4. Establishment and maintenance of excellent working relationships with local authorities, emergency services, suppliers, and stakeholders.
5. Liaison with representatives of transportation agencies to discuss works and surveys.
6. Production and maintenance of records, including Requests for Information (RFIs), Technical Queries (TQs), Change of Variation Instructions (CVIs), and Variation Orders.
7. Management of works delivery in compliance with contract standards, ensuring adherence to health, safety, and environmental requirements.
8. Monitoring and control of subcontractor work performance and quality.
9. Maintenance of daily production records and field map logs.
10. Compilation and delivery of reports as required by the contract.
Profile
1. Civil or Construction Engineering degree with relevant industry-recognised safety training.
2. Project Cost Management skills.
3. Ability to effectively plan and manage resources, including labour, plant, and materials.
4. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and reporting skills.
5. Adaptability and flexibility to handle varying project requirements.
