The Human Resources Specialist will support the Sr HR-Business Partners and HR Manager in the delivery of local, regional, and global HR activities and initiatives. Supporting various HR functions, ensuring the implementation of HR policies, and fostering a positive work environment. This position will work closely with cross-functional teams to support business objectives, provide employee services, and maintain compliance with local and global HR regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Provide HR business partner support across all assigned business clients within designated location.
2. Support the implementation of global human resource initiatives under the direction of the HR leadership team.
3. Serve as the first point of contact for employees in addressing HR-related inquiries, concerns, and issues. Facilitate conflict resolution and promote a positive work environment.
4. Provide HR clarification around benefits, payroll, HR policies, and practices to employees.
5. Enter employee information into the HRIS system for processing (e.g., new hires, terminations, promotions, leave of absences).
6. Support HR in performance management cycles within the West Talent Gateway system, including data gathering and communication to ensure compliance.
7. Assist in talent acquisition, onboarding, and retention efforts, working closely with relevant teams.
8. Serve as HR liaison between local and global HR functions, ensuring consistent practices.
9. Participate in HR forums to advance the organization’s HR initiatives.
10. Consult with managers and supervisors regarding employee performance issues, disciplinary actions, terminations, and resolving work-related issues.
11. Collaborate on job reclassifications and writing of job descriptions with managers and HR Compensation.
12. Conduct workplace investigations related to discrimination, harassment, and escalate as needed.
13. Assist with personnel and training needs in workforce planning.
14. Use data, benchmarks, and HR metrics to facilitate decision-making.
15. Analyze HR KPI data, generate reports, monitor metrics, and recommend improvements.
16. Contribute HR inputs for monthly communications and reports.
17. Perform other duties as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities
Education
* Bachelor's Degree in relevant business or HR discipline. Required.
Work Experience
* 3-5 years of HR experience or equivalent education. Required.
* Experience with HR systems (e.g., SuccessFactors, SAP HCM) and MS Office preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
* Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Strong team player with positive attitude.

License and Certifications
* SHRM certification preferred upon hire.
Travel Requirements
Up to 13 business days per year (5%).
