We have ambitious plans for growth over the next five years – you will be a key member of the senior team to deliver this expansion.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development: Leading on the expansion of the Holmes Education Group in Ireland, Identifying new business opportunities, creating business development plans and implementing such plans to increase the commercial profile and competitive advantage of Holmes Education Ireland.Gathering market intel, creating detailed, up-to-date competitor analyses which can be used effectively in the strategic sales, marketing and business development planning.Sales: You will have a sales mindset, knowing and effectively presenting the commercial and competitive advantages of HEG, HEG Ireland, OHC and HID to agents, students, our sales team, pathway partners, etc.You will be actively involved in direct and indirect salesCentre Management:Overseeing the smooth operational running of the Holmes Dublin campus including WH&S, building maintenance, staffing, maximizing efficiency, coordinating timetables, and implementing effective cost control measures.Regular reporting is expected to the Senior Management TeamStudent-Centred Service: Working with and managing the heads of departments for OHC, HID, Administration and Student Services to create a coherent, collegiate and effective team, ensuring excellent student services and customer satisfaction across all departmentsSkillsEntrepreneurship and Innovation:You will be a creative, critical thinker,adept at solving problems and circumventing obstacles and risks.You willbe highly proficient at identifying new business opportunities and creating proposals to expand the HEG business in Ireland.Sales and Marketing:You will be sales-oriented; deft at delivering a convincing and appropriate sales narrative to prospective students, recruitment agencies, our sales team, institutional partners and senior management; able to negotiate effectively for HEG commercial advantage; familiar with competitor products and sales points, competent at public relations, networking and interpersonal, cross-cultural communication, and able to close deals.Time Management:Organised and Meticulous: You will be confident in managing and coordinating (and ensuring other team members manage) the operational, teaching, student services, sales and marketing tasks in the best interests of the companyLeadership and Teamwork Skills:The ongoing motivation and development of the team is a key aspect of this role – you will be the senior champion for our Ireland activities throughout our Group, responsible for communicating effectively the strategic directions and plans of the Group to the Irish team.You will lead by example.Industry Knowledge:You will be an experienced and highly-regarded professional, ideally with experience of dealing with international students, understanding their differing cultural perspectives and their modes of knowledge acquisition. You will have an understanding of the Irish education framework and relevant compliance standards for the programmes you oversee in Ireland (OHC, HID)AttributesService Oriented:Education is a service industry.You respond quickly and accurately to a range of enquiries from colleagues, business partners and customers alike; you will be able to solve problems and create an environment that is conducive to excellent customer feedback.You will be able to identify and deal effectively with complaints and negative feedback and propose immediate solutions.Cross-Cultural CommunicationYou will be competent and confident when dealing with international students, staff and business partners from all over the world, and ensuring a collegiate and respectful environment and atmosphereWork Ethic:You will be committed, focused,hard working and capable of going the extra mile to achieve your KPI's.You will be willing and able to help and think outside yourjobdescriptionto support your team.Adaptability:You will be able to adapt effectively to change in the market, to unforeseen circumstances and to directives from Head Office.Digital CompetenciesYou willcompetent inMS Office 365,and familiar withStudent Management, Learning Management and Customer Management systems, and digital marketingtools (social media, email, SEO, UI, UX, etc.)You should normally have a minimum of five years’ managerial experience, ideally in the international education sector (higher education, vocational education, ESL)although applications from interested staff working in other industries are also encouraged.This senior role is based full-time in our Dublin Campus.Remote working is not available with this position.
