Senior Psychologist Role
This is a challenging opportunity for a Senior Psychologist to join our team in a locum capacity. The role involves working with a forensic population, providing comprehensive assessments and developing behavior monitoring procedures.
The ideal candidate will have a postgraduate professional qualification in Clinical or Counselling Psychology and at least 2 years of experience as a Psychologist. They will be responsible for assessing and intervening with individuals who have been referred to the psychology service due to mental health difficulties, offense-specific needs, or developmental disorders.
The role requires regular contact with community agencies involved in the support and resettlement of people leaving custody, as well as working with families and carers of those in custody. The Service plays a critical role in supporting the broader organisation through consultation, training and education.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct comprehensive assessments and formulate individual care plans
* Develop behavior monitoring procedures for each individual
* Provide specialist contribution to multi-disciplinary care and management planning
* Engage in and supervise evidence-based psychological interventions
* Assess and intervene with individuals presenting with mental health difficulties, offense-specific needs, or developmental disorders
Requirements:
* Eligibility for graduate membership of the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI) or the British Psychological Society (BPS)
* Postgraduate professional qualification in Clinical or Counselling Psychology recognised by PSI
* At least 2 years of experience as a Psychologist
