We strive to use the best technologies for a job and are continuously upgrading our technology stack.Here's just some of the things you'll work on:Take responsibility for defining and delivering the solutions for complex features for the DoneDeal platformWork independently and mentor junior team members successfullyExploring generative AI opportunities to help build better products fasterAlways strive to ensure our codebase is clean, scalable and secureBe an advocate for coding standards within the teamKeep abreast of new technologies and ways of workingWork with other like minded developers as part of an Agile team.Work closely with our product and site reliability teams.What skills and experience do I needAt least 6 years proven ability in a similar role.Excellent knowledge of Java and Object Oriented design principles.Experience and understanding of IoC and ORM frameworks.Solid understanding of databases such as PostgreSQL or MongoDB.Experience building RESTful APIs.Very familiar with and a daily user of AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code and CursorA self-starter with an analytical approach who is comfortable working on their own initiative and handling their time effectively.Excellent interpersonal, teamwork and collaboration skills.A passion for technology and a hunger to adopt new industry trends.Advantage if you have:Experience using Spring, ElasticSearch, AWS, Docker and container orchestration systems such as Kubernetes or OpenShift.Experience using Jenkins or GitHub Actions for CI/CD.Experience building microservices and working with messaging queues.Experience of Prometheus / Grafana for monitoring/alarming of services.A degree or masters in Computer Science/Engineering or a related field.What's it like to work hereYou will have the opportunity to work with one of Ireland's fastest growing Internet companies.
