We specialise in aluminium extrusion, powder-coated aluminium, and sheet metal fabrication, offering a wide range of thermally efficient aluminium windows, doors, and commercial façade systems globally. Our 400,000 sq. ft. facility serves industries worldwide, with divisions spanning architectural glazing systems, curtain walling, architectural paint finishes, anodising, bespoke aluminium design, and extrusions.
Overview
We are seeking a technically proficient and motivated professional with a strong background in the façade and cladding industry to join our growing technical team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of window, door, and curtain walling systems, along with a sound understanding of façade materials and system performance. This role is integral to the day-to-day operation of the technical department, supporting the Product Development Manager and working closely with our other members of the technical and sales team.
The position offers an opportunity to contribute to the ongoing development and maintenance of our technical resources, assist with system testing and certification, and ensure that our façade systems consistently meet the highest standards of quality, compliance, and environmental responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Product Development Manager and technical team with the daily operation of the technical department, ensuring all technical documentation and CAD resources are current and accurate.
* Manage and control updates in AutoCAD to maintain fabrication drawings, system manuals, and technical specifications.
* Interpret architectural and structural engineering drawings, producing detailed technical reports summarising design intent, system performance, and compliance findings.
* Conduct and assist with mock-up testing, factory audits, and on-site inspections to evaluate façade system performance and quality.
* Assist in preparing project detailing, technical submittals, and NBS specifications in coordination with the sales and design teams.
* Support the management and updating of system certification, accreditation schemes, and quality assurance records (e.g. Secured by Design, PAS standards, CE/UKCA documentation).
* Participate in in-house weather testing and contribute to data analysis and reporting.
* Provide technical input during design reviews and client meetings, clearly communicating technical recommendations and compliance considerations.
* Maintain a strong awareness of global façade materials, suppliers, and system innovations, ensuring our solutions remain at the forefront of industry standards.
* Assist with the environmental and sustainability performance within the department, contributing to the assessment of façade systems' environmental impact, embodied carbon, and lifecycle performance.
Requirements
* Minimum 2 years' experience with a specialist façade contractor, fabricator, or façade consultancy.
* Demonstrated technical knowledge of curtain walling, rainscreen cladding, and façade engineering principles.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D is essential; experience with 3D software (Revit, SolidWorks, or similar) is advantageous.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality technical documentation.
* Strong understanding of façade regulations, system standards, and testing procedures.
* Familiarity with a wide range of cladding materials and awareness of global supply chains and innovations.
* Qualification in Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
* Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
* Portfolio of relevant façade or detailing work demonstrating technical competence.
* Awareness of environmental regulations and a keen interest in the sustainability and carbon performance of façade systems, including recyclability, material sourcing, and thermal efficiency.
* Full driver's license

Working Hours & Salary
* Hours: Monday to Thursday, 08:30 – 17:00 / Friday,
* Salary: €55,000 – €70,000 (DOE)
* Location: Little Island (In person)
