Job Description
At GT we work as trusted advisors, bringing local knowledge and national expertise with a global presence to help businesses succeed. We are looking to expand our Asset Management team to support clients in Funds, Aviation Leasing, Structured Finance and SPV. The role offers exposure to diverse industries and the opportunity to collaborate with clients locally and globally.
Department Overview
Due to our exponential growth, we seek an Audit Manager to strengthen our financial services audit team. The incumbent will plan, control and complete audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients, driving quality and client service.
Main Responsibilities
Take responsibility for a portfolio of clients to ensure delivery of multi-disciplined services in line with engagement objectives, scope and budget.
Lead and coordinate engagement teams to deliver services within set deadlines.
Assist and motivate the team, allocating tasks, planning, training needs and staff issues.
Act as a technical resource for financial services covering IFRS, US GAAP and FRS 102, including training and production of technical information.
Provide ongoing supervision, training and development of staff to maintain firm standards throughout the audit process.
Manage work in progress, billing, cash collection and budgeting.
Participate in business development activities, including preparation and presentation of proposals.
Proactively develop client relationships, working closely with client management to deliver commercially focused solutions.
Cross‑sell the product offering of the Business Unit and collaborate with other areas to identify sales opportunities.
Lead by example, demonstrating the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining the highest quality and risk standards.
Work with client financial and regulatory reporting teams to help manage the preparation and review of statutory financial statements and deliver other financial information.
Skills And Attributes
ACA/ACCA/CPA qualified with 5+ years’ PQE.
Audit experience of financial services entities (or recent audit experience with other financial services exposure).
Excellent written and oral communication skills, especially report writing.
Strong technical competence with extensive knowledge of auditing and assurance standards and IFRS; working knowledge of US GAAP and FRS 102 desirable.
Ability to motivate and manage staff under tight deadlines.
Project and portfolio management experience.
Strong interpersonal skills, initiative and attention to detail.
Strong commercial awareness and understanding of the financial sector and regulatory agenda.
