Payroll Officer Dundalk, Co.
Louth Hybrid role Salary: €40k-50k depending on experience This is a full-time permanent role, reporting to the Financial Controller.
Our client delivers technology expertise and high-end solutions to Data Centre Construction Projects throughout Europe.
The Role This role will support several payrolls across Europe, including the UK & Ireland payroll that is processed in-house, while also liaising with outsourced and shadow payrolls.
This role will support circa 150 employees with payroll queries as well as serving the Finance team with additional tasks.
Experience 3 years experience in a payroll position Experience with payroll systems Experience processing both Irish & UK payrolls, with strong knowledge of payroll processes and comfortable working autonomously Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Part Qualified accounting qualification, or equivalent experience in industry essential Strong understanding of payroll processes and tax legislation Prior experience of SAGE payroll desirable Main Responsibilities: Process monthly payrolls for both the UK and Ireland Management of outsourced payrolls Generating and processing payments Submit governmental returns and Appendix 5 reporting Process pension uploads and changes Liaise with pension, government bodies or company payroll providers/accountants as required Monitor and prepare monthly payroll-related payments to Tax authorities, pension etc.
Process new starts and leavers Calculate holiday and sickness payments Resolve payroll queries in a timely & efficient manner Post payroll journals Process end of year returns and P60s Excellent knowledge of PAYE and NIC, to deal with payroll legislation changes Maintain all payroll records Assist external accountants processing of shadow payrolls Processing of expenses and payments Maintain payroll and shadow payroll database records Provide information for wage tax audits Support tax-related reporting & queries for posted employees Ad hoc activities as required For more information please send your CV to Carol in confidence through the link.
