Overview
A Microsoft Gold Partner is looking for a
Microsoft Security Architect
to join on a short-term basis. This role focuses on delivering advanced security solutions across the Microsoft ecosystem, ensuring robust design, governance, and compliance. The contractor will act as the subject matter expert on Microsoft security tooling and Azure, working closely with technical teams to design and document best-practice solutions.
Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Security Architect to design and deliver end-to-end security solutions on Microsoft Azure. In this role, you will leverage Entra ID, Entra Private Access, and the Microsoft Defender suite to secure cloud environments, develop robust governance practices, and provide technical leadership to delivery teams. You will also contribute to proposals by defining solution approaches, estimating effort, and producing high-level timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and implement comprehensive security architectures across Azure environments.
* Develop technical documentation, including architecture blueprints, security frameworks, and implementation guides.
* Define and enforce governance and compliance standards
* Provide expert guidance on security best practices and support delivery teams throughout the project lifecycle.
* Contribute to solution proposals, outlining technical approach, resource effort, and delivery timelines.
Core Skills & Experience:
* Proven expertise in Azure infrastructure and security architecture - HLD & LLD
* Strong knowledge of identity and access management with Entra ID
* Hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender technologies and SIEM platforms such as Microsoft Sentinel
* Solid understanding of Azure networking security, including Firewalls,
* Experience in endpoint management using Microsoft Intune
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on clear technical documentation.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Microsoft certifications such as AZ-500 or SC-100.
* Understanding of data protection frameworks, including GDPR and ISO 27001.
